Tropical storm Nanmadol is heading for China after leaving Taiwan in chaos.
The storm drenched southern and eastern Taiwan and prompted evacuations and major travel disruptions, on Monday.
China is now preparing for Nanmadol in the Fujian province, where it is expected to hit some time on Tuesday, the China Meteorological Administration said on its website.
Nanmadol has weakend and has been downgraded from a typhoon to a storm, but it is still expected to to dump half a metre of rain on the island.
Thousands of people in the south have been told to leave their homes ahead of possible landslides.
