Gennady Stolyarov is afraid to die, and not afraid to say so. He also strongly believes that human beings don't have to die, or at least, will live much, much longer in the future. A writer and transhumanist activist, Stolyarov sees death as something that can be "solved" by technology and science, and one day it will possible to extend life indefinitely. To that end, he's trying to buck the cultural perception that mortality is inevitable, and he’s starting with kids.
Stolyarov published the children’s book Death Is Wrong in November, and Zoltan Istvan, author of The Transhumanist Wager, unearthed the story in a post on Psychology Today. Now Stolyarov is promoting the book with an Indiegogo campaign, trying to crowdfund $5,000 to print and distribute 1,000 copies of the book and get the anti-death word out. (Hat tip to "The mainstream of society remains pervaded by the old death-acceptance arguments," the campaign page explains. To get rid of these "pro-death prejudices," the book gives an overview of the major reasons that life extension is feasible and desirable. It makes the case for immortality—for ages eight and up.
The life-extension movement is one faction of the transhumanism creed—the idea that we can transcend the limitations of being a human being by embracing technological progress. Both radical ideas are certainly gaining traction, thanks in no small part to Google's Calico moonshot project announced last fall, an initiative to study and defeat aging, and eventually even mortality itself.
Google, which also raised eyebrows by hiring renowned futurist and AI expert Ray Kurzweil as its director of engineering, has breathed new life into the H+ movement. So much so in fact that just this week, a handful of transhumanist activists gathered outside the Googleplex with signs saying ‘Immortality now,’ ‘Viva Calico,’ and ‘Google, please, solve Death.’”
"This is merely the beginning," wrote the blog the Proactionary Transhumanist about the “protest.” "This was the first ever street action to occur for Transhumanism in the US, which will soon turn into a stepping stone for future actions. Transhumanism is a growing international social movement, gaining speed as more and more people begin realizing the full potential of scientific and technological advancements toward humanity’s next evolutionary steps."
But Stolyarov's strategy to groom the next generation to grow up thinking they might not have to die is unique—and more than a little bit creepy. The way he sees it, the biggest hurdle to conquering death isn't that it's physically impossible—biotech is working on taking care of that—but rather a pervasive cultural perception that it's not natural, not "right."
The book makes a philosophical case for why death is the enemy. (The front cover shows a boy telling off the grim reaper.) It weaves in anecdotes from the author’s own childhood in Belarus, which seems to have been distinctly fatalist. Stolyarov also bucks the idea that aging inevitably means inching closer to death. He and other life-extension advocates make a point to differentiate between "aging," the passage of time, and "senescence," the biological breakdown of the body.
For a lot of people, tampering with the human body and brain is a line that shouldn't be crossed, but the transhumanist movement is going strong. Stolyarov will speak about his book at the Transhuman Visions 2.0 conference in California tomorrow, which also happens to be "Future Day." The attendees at the event, some 150 futurists, AI experts, immortalists, techno-optimists, transfigurists, and others will meet to discuss the "deep future."
They'll be tackling topics like nanotech, bioethics, nootropics, artificial intelligence, radical life extension, existential risks, bioethics, cryonics, the singularity, nanotechnology, and robotics, and 450 attendees will get a free dose of the popular CILTEP “smart drug," which is believed to enhance the brain function.
“Ultimately, there is an evolutionary dynamic in there,” Stolyarov told FastCo. “The people who choose not to terminate their own lives … are the ones who are going to determine the course of our culture, our philosophy, everyone else's attitudes.” Wacky as this still all sounds, he may have a point.
Following the news and the reactions and comments of friends and fellow activists, it appears we’re in the steep grade of the water slide now, careening towards splashdown in the maw of the awaiting choppy pool of mixed and mired confusion awaiting us at the end of the ride. When things move this quickly about all we can do seems to be to “hold on tight cuz we’re about to hit bottom!”
Totally reactive but understandable.
I keep pounding on waking the heck up and getting off of their engineered ride – which, yes, you can do at any time – for that very reason. The conditioning of the “slippery slope syndrome” is very clever. Remove the idea of options from the get go, channel thinking and behavior in any and every way possible, and send the subjects hurling in the direction that has been so meticulously engineered.
Financial, Social and Spiritual Engineering
All of this takes time. To plan, to structure, to execute. Much like distributing the wealth of the so-called elites and our apparently implanted stubborn, parasitic scum royalty, if societal engineers had spent a small percentage of their time addressing real issues for humanity’s betterment such as solving needless poverty, re-distribution of resources and true social justice, the world wouldn’t be in the engineered mess it’s in.
Instead, their energies are directed, from the top, towards control and subjugation. Nice place we live, eh? So what are we going to do about it?
It’s much like that water slide. We think we’re confined to these little bullshit fiberglass life-sleds when in fact we needn’t be on their diversionary ride at all! Instead humanity allows itself to be corralled into cattle chutes – financially, socially, politically and yes, religiously. Few realize they have blinders installed from their youth to keep them looking from side to side in order to get the real picture.
That’s the pathetic irony of life on planet earth. Our options are pre-defined and pre-determined as free will is touted as our biggest strength. Go figure.
The World Today
We’re watching a world screaming headlong into another global conflagration. It can be overwhelming. From daily military saber rattling, police brutality and mass media mind-mush, the general population is careening towards something horrific. Unless we wake up in a massive hurry. It doesn’t seem their engineered plans can be derailed all that much, although we are influencing the course of history dramatically. They have way too many toys and tools yet to use.
The surveillance police state has been de facto approved for not just lack of public outcry, but individual agreeance. Why? Fear and survival. We’ve been pushed to live by our most basic instincts instead of being encouraged to explode into the vast wealth and empowerment of true knowledge and conscious awareness.
Most news stories make me cringe as I peruse the alternative and mainstain headlines each day. It’s truly surreal. How people can continue on business as usual baffles me. I suppose it is fundamentally financially driven, which is one of their most powerful strokes of evil genius. A corrupt and fully controlled economic paradigm has been foisted on humanity, creating an ingrained dependence and innate fear of scarcity that is humanity’s underlying motivation.
Clever bastards. And don’t try to tell me it’s “natural” or the “course of evolution”. That’s more BS newspeak. Dump it.
Detach – Do Not Compromise
The beginning of all solutions is getting free from their influences. It is fundamentally drastic but actually the easiest and simplest course of action. I know, I’ve done it, and it gives you a platform from which to operate that is so much more empowering, way less confusing, and peaceful than you can imagine. Until you try it.
Compromise is our biggest enemy. We can detach in degrees and that’s fine, but an infection is an infection after all. There can be no compromise. It’s either you or the parasitic invader. Going half way to a destination is not getting there. As they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Very applicable.
Our world situation will continue to deteriorate. You don’t have to go down the slide with it.
Hit the eject button – take action in every way you can to free yourself. Your participation in their matrix only gives them energy and supplants your own.
Watch the news if you will, just don’t be part of it.
You’ll know what to do, as well as not do.
Just yield to the call of conscious awareness.
It’s not just your spiritual survival at stake. Think of the millions you influence.
On one level, the struggle over Ukraine is a deadly US/EU/Russian game of territory, involving governments, intelligence agencies, corporations, and banks.
But at a higher level, as usual, sit the elite Globalist players. And their motives are different. They see every conflict as an opportunity to negotiate the aftermath.
And that negotiation produces a codified structure of cooperation between the enemies that is larger than the previous structure.
For example, there were banks and corporations (Standard Oil, ITT, IBM, etc.) who were aiding both sides in WW2. And in the aftermath, a much larger market for goods (Europe-US) was created.
The US government, in its European rebuilding efforts, made sure of that.
Post WW2, Europe itself started on the road toward creating the current European Union, which is a vast bureaucracy that sits over the entire continent.
This is the Globalist principle: instigate conflicts, in order to build larger cooperative structures in the aftermath. And control those cooperative structures.
That way, you put more people, land, resources, and labor under the umbrella.
There is only one exception. If either of the conflicting parties, in the aftermath, refuses to build those cooperative bridges, the Globalist scheme doesn’t work.
So, vis-a-vis the Ukraine conflict, if Russia or the US, in the aftermath, says no to building new cooperative structures (either out in the open, or behind closed doors), that “defector” is now a Globalist target for further chaos and destabilization.
Until it relents and joins the Club.
Above the saber rattling and angry accusations, and characterizations of “a new Cold War,” Ukraine is a pawn in the Globalist game of bringing Russian and US power players into closer accord—kicking and screaming, if necessary.
In accord, but not in a good way. In a Globalist way.
Because the Globalist agenda is a planet of One Nation, where all borders are ultimately erased, and the ruling class of money and corporate power and political torque is enthroned.
This program is neither Left nor Right. It hides behind exacerbated conflict between Left and Right.
It engenders a reality in which Left vs. Right appears to be the only political game in town.
But it isn’t the only game.
You could call the Globalist agenda socialism, Communism, fascism, corporatism, liberal, conservative, and other names. And each one of those names would contain a kernel of truth. But in fact, Globalism is simply Control. From above. Period.
Yes, there must be certain issues on which the Left and Right disagree. There must be differences. And these issues must be hot. Hot enough to rally supporters who scream at each other across the barricades.
Because that is the kind of distraction Globalism needs to do its methodical work in secret.
If Ukraine follows the blueprint, at the end of the conflict, the US and Russia will be seething at each other. And then…a mediating figure will appear, perhaps from the Rockefeller camp.
And in a private meeting, he will say, “Boys, cool down. We have a plan. And in this plan, everybody wins. You’ll all go home with something. Look. Look at this. And this. And this.”
And then the new structure of cooperation will be larger than the previous structure.
And it will look good.
But the motive behind it will be: the taking of yet another step in the direction of welding together Planet Earth in one vast management system.
At the top of which sit the rulers.
As David Rockefeller wrote in his 2003 Memoirs:
Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.
